The Next Trip
OK, so it's time to plan the next trip. I'm going to take advantage of the Thanksgiving break (and the cheap international airfare - Americans travel all around the US over thanksgiving break so fares are high, but they normally don't go overseas, so it's fairly inexpensive to fly overseas during that week) to take care of some Global Module business. I'm flying out from Washington, DC on 20 November for Vienna, figuring that, beyond the fact I'm pretty comfortable with Vienna (and have GM contacts in Austria), it's centrally located. I'll definitely be returning to Slovakia to visit the good folks at the Catholic University in Ruzezberok, Slovakia (as well as a couple other contacts in Slovakia, especially in Bratislava), but will also try to visit old and new contacts in Prague and maybe Budapest - and, potentially, try and make it down to Zagreb or Sarajevo. Now, where will that leave me on Thanksgiving? That is anyone's guess at this point. I spent last Thanksgiving in St. Petersburg, Russia, and, while failing to find a turkey dinner, I did end up enjoying a very nice Italian meal.
