I've set up this blog mainly so that my friends back home can see where I am when I'm overseas. Now, working out the technology so that it doesn't look completely ridiculous will probably be another story all together. I'm heading out to Macedonia this weekend, so that will be the real test. Just to get started, let me see if I can post a picture from my recent trip to Jordan. This is a picture of the temple of Artemis at Jerash. The columns have been standing for almost two thousand years and you can actually see them sway (or at least you can put a coin in the space between the sections and watch it move up and down, which is both amazing and a little disconcerting).
