I don't think I have anything particularly profound to add to this picture, although I think it's priceless. On our recent trip to Zanzibar Steve and I were meandering around Stone Town and came across this classic bit of graffiti scratched into the wall down a narrow alley. If nothing else I guess it speaks volumes about the universal nature of American culture.

The traditional music of Zanzibar is taarab, which would not be confused with gangster, but clearly not everyone is interested in love songs or dance music.
