Father

Well, not my father.  The other day one of my more clinically insane student, Anthony, took a detour on his Velazquez-Picasso project presentation to point out that when he was stuck he actually came to ask me for help.  Of course, he needed a backdrop to express this point, and this was what popped up on his Powerpoint.  When he sent me a copy he entitled it "Father," and "I am enlightened."  Lunatics.  And to think, I'm taking him to Zanzibar in January; which is not the same as promising to bring him back from Zanzibar.

If only they devoted as much time to working on the actual assignments . . .
