I think the oppressive arid heat of Abu Dhabi is making me even more nostalgic for Zanzibar. Granted, it was hot there but the beautiful clear waters and the gentle breeze made up for it. Here's a picture of a fisherman out trolling for fish with his net.

You wanna know what's weird, and something you never hear about? The oppressive arid heat in Evansville. The other day it was 106 with 17% humidity. Seriously.
Yikes, that sounds absolutely brutal. Of course, I definitely remember southern Indiana being one of the hottest and most miserable places imaginable. Soon it will be 120 and humid here in Abu Dhabi, so at least you'll get to feel cool by comparison.
