Powderfinger

Brilliant text from my son, who is stuck in a moving truck driving from Vermont down to Florida (two days after he returned with me from Georgia to Vermont): "Paul Revere should have said this: 'I think you better call John, it don't look like they're here to deliver the mail.' I'm that bored." He may be bored, but any reference to Neil Young's Powderfinger is a worthy one. It's one of my favorite songs and one that I always associate with my son, although I first heard it a decade before he was born. I guess it's the sense of innocence lost.
