"Say, 'I know not whether that which you are promised is nigh or whether my Lord has appointed a term; Knower of the Unseen, He does not disclose His Unseen to anyone, save for the one whom He approves as a messenger.'"
Quran 72:25-26
Here's another passage drawn from the 72nd surah, al-Jinn, naturally rendered as "The Jinn." The discussion of the Seen and the Unseen brings me back to all the discussion of Moses and al-Khidr from the 18th surah, and the fact that both aspects are essential parts of faith. Now, the question of why the Unseen remains the Unseen is another issue altogether, and maybe that brings us back to the very question of faith. If everything existed in the realm of the Seen, then would faith have any meaning? I suppose the other way to consider the point would be to argue that some things aren't revealed because you would be unable to process them, or is it actually the need for some things to exist within the framework of faith?
